Jordan worked as an installer helper through high school and university. After graduating in 2011, he and his wife Melissa moved to North Bay and worked in the home improvement industry. In 2012, they returned to Norval where Jordan now works with his dad at Herman’s Home Team in sales and installation.

Ben began working with his dad, Herman and uncle Hank as an installer helper in grade nine. This experience prepared him to start running his own crew after graduating from high school. Along with his wife, Anita, they eventually purchased and took over ownership of the company in 1992. In 2012, after 11 years in business, the company became Herman’s Home Team, and under Ben’s direction, expanded to become a supplier and installer of quality doors and windows. As of 2026, Ben has fully retired, stepping aside to let his son, Jordan, and business partner, Reuben, run the company.
Herman started his career in the siding business in the mid 1960’s. In 1974, he started Herman’s Aluminum in Norval, Ontario, which was the launch of a family business that has now spanned over 40 years.
In order to provide the best possible service to our customers, Herman’s has taken steps to earn accreditations and certifications to ensure we are current on standards, codes and regulations within our industry. We value the connection to the communities that memberships and associations provide, as well as the knowledge and support they deliver.
We believe that supporting organizations, charities, events and projects within our community helps provide a better quality of life for the people that live here, our employees and customers.
